30th Friendshipment Caravan June 22 – July 5, 2019
Join us for a life-changing experience in Cuba
Our caravans extend solidarity to the Cuban people and give you an opportunity to learn about Cuba through direct experience. This year we will travel to Havana and the neighboring province of Cienfuegos to explore how the Cuban people are moving forward in healthcare, organic farming, and sustainable tourism, the diversity of religious expression in Cuba, and Cuba’s efforts to tackle legacies of racism, sexism, homophobia and more.
Our trip will include a visit to the Latin American Medical School in Havana, which trains thousands of young people from around the world, including 70 from the US, to be doctors on full scholarships from the Cuban government. In Cienfuegos will visit the Museum at the Bay of Pigs commemorating the defeat of the US backed invasion of Cuba in 1961.
Solidarity and Humanitarian Aid
Since 1992 IFCO/Pastors for Peace has organized Friendshipment Caravans to Cuba – delivering humanitarian aid from the people of US to the people of Cuba and traveling to the island without requesting U.S. government permission. We have engaged in this act of civil disobedience to express our opposition to the restrictions placed on US travelers to Cuba.
Cuba Caravan June 22 – July 5, 2019
