Seattle Picket & Car Caravan to End the Blockade of Cuba” width=

 

From Miami, to New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, on the last Sunday of the month, pickets and Car Caravans of Cuban Americans and their allies are calling for an end to all aspects of the 60 year old U.S. economic blockade of Cuba!

On Sunday, May30, 2021 the Seattle Cuba Friendship Committee, along with Puente de Amor (local Cuban Americans), will join the actions around the country.

GATHER and DECK OUT cars with signs!
Meet at 11am.
Park along SW Roxbury St and 17th Ave SW - White Center, Seattle
Walk down to 16th Ave SW
11am Picket at SW Roxbury St and 16th Ave SW - White Center, Seattle
11:50am Walk back to our cars, spend 10 minutes or so decorating them, then start Caravan
12 noon Begin car caravan:
* Turn right onto SW Roxbury St, and drive 2 blocks east.
* Turn right onto 15th Ave. SW and drive 3 blocks south.
* Turn right onto SW 102nd St.
* At the Y intersection take the left fork onto 17th Ave SW.
* Turn right again onto SW Roxbury St, and drive 1 block east.
* Turn right onto 15th Ave. SW and drive 2 blocks south.
* Make a sharp right turn at the Y intersection turn onto 17th Ave SW going north.
* Turn right again onto SW Roxbury St, and drive 1 block east.
* Turn right onto 16th Ave. SW and drive 1 block south.
* Turn right onto SW 98th St. and drive west 1 block.
* Turn right onto 17th Ave SW again, go north 2 blocks back to parking lot.

We will be wearing masks and socially distancing. If you have concerns about COVID safety it is fine to join us just for the car caravan.
Event will end at 1pm.
