Cuba’s Life Task: Combatting Climate Change

The Seattle/Cuba Friendship Committee, IFCO Pastors for Peace. and Northwest Film Forum present an exclusive Seattle film showing of CUBA’S LIFE TASK – COMBATTING CLIMATE CHANGE. This is an amazing documentary film by Dr. Helen Yaffe, a Scottish economics professor who has become a remarkable international ambassador for Cuba. Her video offers a first hand account of Cuba’s official Tarea Vida climate change program, which is a serious and well-thought effort to confront the huge challenges posed by climate change for a small tropical island nation.

Also on the bill for the evening will be short in-person presentations on the film and about the upcoming IFCO/Pastors for Peace 32nd Caravan to Cuba. (an amazing event in itself). We’ll hapily explain how you can participate in sending desperately needed medicine and other supplies to Cuba.
