Seattle Rally to support Cuba at the United Nations

In early November the United Nations General Assembly will debate and vote on a Cuba-sponsored resolution demanding an end to the U.S. government economic blockade of Cuba.
This will be the 31st consecutive year that Cuba has put this resolution before the United Nations for a vote, and it has passed with overwhelming global support every time. Why does the United States government defy the will of the international community in its punishment of Cuba?
For 62 years Cuba has stood up to U.S. bullying, demonstrating a strong will to survive while responding to the needs of its people. We support the Cuban people in their fight for self determination.

On Sunday, October 29 the Seattle/Cuba Friendship Committee will rally to demand an end to the US government blockade of Cuba.
Please join us! SCHEDULE:
10:45am Park at car park on the south side of 56th St between 22nd and 20th Avenue (close to 20th Avenue) behind Bank of America (or better yet, ride public transit).
11 am: Informational picket & hand out flyers at Farmers Market (we’ll bring banner, signs & flyers).
12 noon: walk to Market Street and 15th Avenue NW for rally.
1 pm-ish: Event ends. Return to cars at the parking area.

Hope to see you there!
